Executive Director
Sherri Roberts Lumpkin is the founder and Executive Director of The Ragbaby Exchange (RBE). As a life-long self-love advocate and social entrepreneur, Sherri founded RBE in 2009. After attending both Hampton University and the University of the District of Columbia, Sherri began her career as a Production Manager, before moving to Graphic Design for the majority of her career. Sherri is certified in Advanced Youth Development Training by DC Trust. In addition to her work uplifting people through therapeutic doll-making, she is an Artist-In-Residence in Prince George’s County Public Schools through a grant from Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council as well as an Arts & Crafts Teacher to Senior Citizens for Prince George’s Parks & Planning both in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She is a published poetry book illustrator and fabric doll-maker working on her craft to uplift the narrative of Black and Brown people.
As a leader, Sherri coins herself as a Sunshine Spreader, peacemaker, and social entrepreneur. Moving forward, she intends to implement more healing programs with BIPOC and the leaders within their communities. Also, The Ragbaby Exchange will expand its global focus with international outreach. Sherri leverages her network of Black leaders in a variety of industries to supplement RBE programming. In her time as Executive Director, she is continuing to foster the growth and development of RBE.
